I think Wesnoth is one of the greatest games that runs natively on linux, and if you have Fedora all you have to do is type "yum install wesnoth", and it will download and install.
I also like GNOME Sudoku.
I used to be a fan of XBill, but it seems they stopped making that and now they have Virus Killer which is almost the same thing.
Dark Oberon looked like it would be a sweet game (Warcraft II in claymation) but last I checked it was still in the development stage.

not to offend any one... but Cube looks like a nice doom port (as nice of a doom port it can be lol) level design really points to the old doom era... monsters look like a ripoff from Serious Sam... very little visual realism. in a way doom 1 and 2 usually makes you think - what the hell is this supposta be?

personally im a big fan of id games... yet another reason to like them is id's support of linux.

Racer looks like a fun game... ill check it out.

and finally... never, never, never leave out the linux classic - TuxRacer... its not maintained anymore, there it has a new name - Planet Penguin Racer.

openttd is a very nice TTD(Transport Tycoon Deluxe) client for both windows and linux (original game did have windows patch but was limited to 640x480... it was a dos game otherwise)

Serious Sam First and Second Encounter have beta state clients... it could work if you are really itching to play it.

Unreal Tournament (various versions) have native linux clients.

POSTAL(for very mature players only) series have mac and linux support but i think you will have to buy the hybrid CDs. i asked for a linux binary or installer on official POSTAL/RWS forum and i got called names and saw very unapropriate language and 0 result.... i guess i wont be going back to their forums.

of course there is wine, winex/cedega but im not a big fan of emulation myself...

I'm not a fan of emulation either. I've recently gotten really into a free MMORPG called SilkRoad online that is for Windows only, but it's fairly high end. I can only run the graphics on Medium with my system(see signature for stats), so I'd hate to see how it ran while being emulated through a software layer instead of its native environment.

I've found a couple good MMOs for Linux that I can deal with, but now I can't get my N64 emulator to work in Linux(Mupen64).

Cube is now outdated, as far as I know Sauerbraten is the new one. It's a fairly small game written by a guy in his free time so it's not by far a competitor for Unreal Tournament, but it's still pretty good. I can't find a working copy of the Linux installer for Unreal Tournament, and I lost my original CD so I can't install it anyway. Unreal Tournament 2004 comes with one on the first CD, but the cool thing is in Linux you won't ever need the first CD after getting the installer off it.

For those of you looking for MMORPGs you can look into Planeshift and Eternal Lands. Eternal Lands is a fairly stable mmorpg with an easy to use interface. I had an issue upon initial installation so if any of you have a problem email me and I'll see if I can help you, I'm just not going into detail here. Planeshift is a fully 3-d MMORPG in its alpha development stages. It's playable and looks pretty good so far.

Actually, there are some cool advances happening in vega-strike. One of the guys has set up a permanent server so that people can play multi-player vega-strike. Fun stuff! Count me in.

I was once addicted to freeciv. Haven't checked out the Civilization 3 Linux native port. I'm a little afraid to...

Savage2 - RTS/FPS (Native)
Freespace 2 - (SpaceSim - Native) Look for FreeSpaceOpenSourceInstall.jar

The two natives games download as a single file and install them selves.
./Savage2.bin
java -jar freespaceopeninstaller.jar
-----------

Battlefield2 - FPS (Cedega - Works perfectly and I don't have a high spec machine)
Warcraft 3 + XP - RTS (Wine - Works perfectly)
Warhammer 40k + All XPs - (Wine - Works perfectly)

I am currently running a lot of what is mentioned on this page:

Tremulous
Savage2
Heros of Newerth
Sauerbraten

I have played Planeshift since the beginning of time it seems and actually still have a single named character.
But as said it is still alpha and has been forever. There are a lot of bugs still and lacking in a lot of areas
so really wasn't very playable for me.

I am a big MMORPGr and have really gotten into Regnum Online recently. I just thought I'd throw it up here with
everything else incase someone else would find it enjoyable.

Danger from the deep, all the way. Too bad they don't update it that often. And for fooling around ManiaDrive and Yo Frankie 8-)
