glibc problems

I have two games for Linux (Majesty and Sim City 3000) that won't install because the installer seg-faults with an error message that mentions glibc for both of them.
I'm running SuSE 9.2 with kernal 2.6.8, is there anything I can do to get these games to install? It seems to fall under the analogy of Win95 games not running with WinXP type thing?
Any help would be much appreciated.

What is the exact error that you're getting? Could you please paste it in here? It would probably be helpful in diagnosing your trouble :-)
