I would like to install a game for my 12 year old. I am sick of hearing can I go to windows, she like to play many of the medioker graphic online games. I do have java installed., but a lot of the game don't work correctly.
I am running slackware 9.1, I did a full install. I would like to install a game that is not going to give me headaches(installing). I have an integrated intel 845(I think that is right) video card. Any game with action and shooting is o.k.. Some personal opinions would be appreciated. My main objective is to get it running o.k., so ease of installation is a goal(but a little work is alright)
AlephOne is quite good. It's a platform shotty-uppy game. Takes a little getting used to, but it's good. Also, if you remember any good games on a (past) console, then you could set up an emulator and use that game's ROM... just make sure you're within the law with regard to copyright I can recommend zsnes for snes emulation.
hmm you know maybe linuxquestions could add a database for us to add these links etc into , just a thought, there must be lots off newcomers looking for games such as these ?
