[SOLVED] Enemy territory on fedora 13

I can play jaymod with bots and no sound.The echo thingie does not work.I tried to connect to the WF server and it reported to console

Nice going :It seems like I will not be able to play this weekend,as I hate playing with them stupid bots.

I installed et 2.55 and patched it to 2.60b but still the same.
And btw I thought it would be best to post this on the Fedora Forum so I registered there last friday.But activation email has not arrived yet.They must be using Fedora for their mail and web server.

Seems like I have to install 2.55 and then 2.60 and then 2.60b.Will try that when I get home from worjk

The main thing is that you really need to get that install install file. Well, now I'm trying to install Enemy Territory 2.55 server files but I'm not able to do that.

Well I went away for a while to windows.Got the bluescreen after 5 days.That is enuff windows for me in 2011.
That might seem irrelevant to this post.
I tried installing once more and got 2.55 (no snd) running.
Then I patched and executed but in console it says 2.55.
So I am going to patch/update to 2.60 now

Game works now but no sound.And I still have not received the registration from fedora.
Well I am the sucker that was fooled into installing this most complicated distro.
This is only a game and this post is 2 pages long.
How about I want to install something serious?

Tried running et as root and got sound,I added user to group audio.

And relogin that user.
So all is well except for this forum.
I got no help here.
You are on your own.
But I am willing to provide this help and hopefully someone more noob than me can use it.

And BTW putting those quotes around the commands works poorly.
when I put my cursor in between the ][ and paste with mmb it pastes behind the last ].
