enemy territory - join server from start

Can Enemy Territory be started to join a server straight off the mark? I'm sure it could be but for the life of me I can't figure out how. I'm writing a server browser in PyGTK cause the in-game one sucks hard and I'm stuck on actually starting the game in a specific server

Thanks for any help

For anyone interested, you can enter commands into the game console from the CLI when you start the game. For example:
Code:
et \connect 192.168.1.100:22000
Works a treat
