Enemy Territory headaches

Hi all,

Im hoping that someone out there can help me. Im trying to get ET running and it keeps crashing on me. Only error I can find is a Seg Fault 11 which is output to the console when it crashes. I can play for some time before a crash (5 to 30 minutes) but it ALWAYS crashes. Also it runs perfectly untill the crash.

Ive had this game running before on this machine and Im stumped as to why its crashing on me now. So here is some system info:

Hardware:
Nforce2 mobo from Gigabyte
Geforce FX 5600

Software:
Gentoo Linux 2.6.0
Nvidia drivers 5328

Ill be happy to provide anymore information thats needed. Thanks in advance for the help.

Fixed!

Just thought I tell others what I did to fix the problem I was having with frequent crashes on ET.

Removed the Preemptable kernel config option and all is well. I dont think the problem is with the kernel, but with the nvidia drivers.

Nvidia seems to be really slipping lately with drivers. Anyone else notice that?

Only minor problems with the graphics drivers but many more problems with the drivers for the nforce nic. I use the forcedeth driver for it now.(Im using 2.6.0 so I have no choice since Nvidia hasnt made one for it.)

Sorry for the rant at the end but hopefully this will help someone else having trouble with ET.(or other games possibly combined with nvidia and 2.6)
