Complileing And Installing

Hey so guys, i just made the swich to linux, but im haveing troble complieing files and istaling them, can some one tell me how plz ?

im, sorry there are proplly like 300 threas about this arealdy but i condlnt finde them and i realy know how to do this

well d00d, what are you trying to install ?
what kinda of files are they ?
what are you typing ?
are you reading the README and/or INSTALL files ?
what kind of errors are you getting ?

as you can see you gave us absolutely no information regarding
your problem, so next time you post a thread try correcting that ..
oh and read this !
