cedega install trouble on slackware 10 from tgz file

ok so i cd to the directory the cedega file is in and type:

tar -xvzf cedega__4.tgz

it looks like all the files are being extracted properly(the console scrolls a down with a big list of the files and dirs)
but when i type cedega it says command not found
i have also tried:

cedega steaminstall.exe

still nothing..and yes i was in the right dir where the steaminstall exe was

seems like after the files are extracted, they disappear

could anyone help me out? thank you

As root, try:

installpkg cedega_4.tgz

Tgz's are slack packages and are not ment to be untarred.
