Hi I have Fedora core 5, and I can't seem to get the time demo to work, Its says in the test that the openGl direct redering failed the test, with 3d-accerlation, and copy protection. How can I get this to work. Thanks.
Just download the ATI Driver Installer and run it as root. If you need more information, do a Google search. There are instructions for it, just gotta go a little research. I can't remember because it has been awhile since I installed ATI drivers but you may need to do some editing in xorg.conf, but if not then that's great!
After you think they are installed, open a terminal and run
Okay I downloaded theinstaller for it and when I run it is gives me this? okay I think I figured out what this line means, how do I figure out what Xfree86 I need. I tried the ati's check.sh, and all it says is I don't have ownership of the console.

x410 XFree86 4.1.x

Removing temporary directory: fglrx-install

When I installed the ATI drivers it just overwrote the Mesa drivers. Instead of picking a specific X server installation I used the main installer on that same page and selected when distro I was using. It was all done from the installer, no console commands. Afterwards I think I had to edit xorg.conf to make sure it was using fglrx or whatever it is called.
