CD-ROMs

Well, I've been installing games such as Half-life and Starcraft on my Linux box. I came about a few problems. Games such as: Rogue Spear, Rainbow Six: Covert Operations, and Diablo II. When I put the CDs in the drive the files and folders descriptions on the disks are read as question marks and other nonesense.

These games probably have some form of proprietary copy-protection. You may have to search for no-CD hacks to get them to work under Linux.

These games need to be installed from the CD before they are able to be ran. I know someone who has installed D2 on his Linux computer.
