Black Shades, looks interesting but not working
I have seen an interesting game called black shades, located at
But i couldn't get it to run, it was the 1st attempt at using cvs and i'm not sure i did things right., although it's more likely something to do with my installation of openAL.
Does mandrake (9.1) have openAL built in or is there a rpm, i attempted to download it via cvs and i think it totally didn't work. Or is there another version (tar.gz / rpm) of black shades
Any help would be good
only a cvs version of blackshades, after about 2 hours i got it working. exactly what trouble are you getting?

The problem i am having is when i go to 'make' blackshades i get these messages.

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?
yeah, you dont have devel headers for glu and glut (at least thats whats wrong now, there might be more). try going to mandrake.com, going to the download section, going to the old distro area, and downloading the devel headers. if you have the install cds, you could get the headers off of that. just look for (in whatever software manager you have) glu and/or glut and install the development headers.
