auto start quake 3 server

hello all,

i have quake 2 and 3 running as servers on a rehat 9 box , this is all good it works blah blah blah.

but my question is this:

how do i get quake 2 and / or quake 3 dedicated server to start automatically at boot???

i usually start q3 with the q3ded program and a few command line arguments such as map and game etc........q2 is very similar.

I don't think these programs need to be run as root, guidence as to how to run them as another user would be helpful.

i have had a play around with /etc/rc.d but cannot really make to much sense. the different dirs mean different run levels???

redhat also uses something called chkconfig , and am not sure how to add daemons to this.

Thanks
