Arrow keys in nethack

this is driving me nuts...at least at the moment i do not want to learn how to use the hjkl method of movement in the linux version of nethack...i want to use the arrow keys. yet the i cannot figure out for the life of me how to get the arrow keys to work. yes i can use the number_pad command...but that doesn't enable the arrow keys.

how can i get this to work?

AFAIK, you cannot use arrow keys, u have to use the keypad or hljk....

i just find it very odd you can use the arrow keys in the windows version quite easily but not in the linux version

maybe it has something to do with how the keys are mapped in windows...

You can use the arrow keys. You just have to go to the options menu and enable them. I think the command for the options menu is control o, or maybe its just o (dont have nethack installed atm to check).
