Check out Quake III and its mods..... Urban Terror, True Combat, Rune Quake is an absolute hoot at a LAN party especialy the jump rune. I host regular LAN parties for a small group of mixed LIN/win boxes and Quake provides much fun. So much so that we are concidering a retro party with Quake and Quake 2!
At any rate there is more than enough Q3A material out there to provide MANY hours of fun!
unreal tournament (and its mods, infiltration being my bag), americas army, ut2003 (installer is on disk 3!) and loads of retro games (see casperhans links). Bzflag is fun and MASSIVELY multiplayer!! ok, not massive, but.......
