Americas Army Sound Problem

When Playing Americas Army ver 1.9 i have a 3 second delay when shooting also the sound quality seems to suck like when people report in it sound more like a robot instead of human. im hoping this is only a config issue,
any ideas????

I have the same problem, under Fedora Core 1???
