America's Army Graphics/Input Problems

After installation of AAO was complete, it would run but, the graphics were so bad that the game was unplayable. So I updated Xfree86 to 4.3.0. And for the most part it was ok. I can see what is going on now, but the game is like a weak acid trip. Little blotches of color on the wall and little graphical glitches in the lower left corner of my screen (scrambled patches of green, brown, and grey that spread over a 2 or 3 inch space in the corner). My mouse works to some degree, but it is a little choppy. Anyone who has played AAO know that when you are attempting to snipe someone across a map an unresponsive mouse won't cut it. Any suggestions for these two problems? I have a GeForce MX 420 card from Nvidia. Does anyone know anything that I could add to XF86Config to optimize my card for AAO-Linux? I am still fairly new to Linux so it is a possibility that I overlooked something very obvious to you all, so any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
JT

Well, the best thing I can advise on is, make sure the nvidia drivers are upto date. If they are maybe check out the 4260 beta's located here. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...threadid=21848
If you run a beta kernel like 2.6 then head over to minion.de for the patch for the 4260 to install in kernel 2.6 .

Other than maybe different drivers I personally don't know what is causing the probs. gl
