America's Army: Can't set video mode


Hi, I just installed Slackware 9.1 and the first thing I did was I downloaded America's Army 2.0 and installed it. The installation went fine, no problems. Then I fired up the game and the logo came up and everything but then I get this error:

My video card is a Radeon 9100

In searching the forums I found the the thread below. I hope this isn't my problem because I can't afford a new video card right now.

I think I've found a solution for this problem. If I download America's Army for Windows and then use Wine to emulate it under Linux I think that will solve my problem except I cant seem to find Wine anywhere on my Slackware install. Does anyone know where they put Wine? I should have it because I did an "install everything" installation. thanx.

AA should run fine.
There's a problem with how you've set your videocard up.
I can't help unfortunately since I have no clue how Radeons get installed. I've only used Nvidia cards.

The problem may be in your XF86Config file. Give us a print out of it. Just to be sure, make sure you have Load "glx" in your XF86Config file. I assume that you have the latest nvidia driver installed and setup in your XF86Config file?
