A good COMBAT flight sim?

Does anybody know of any good linux combat flight sims of any variety? I know of Flight Gear but are there any others, like IL-2, EAR or MiG Alley, etc, for available for linux?

My joystick is lonely.

I would also like an answer to this question

There's gl-117, but it's too much of an arcade game (but fun nonetheless).

And a game called YSFLIGHT (ysflight.com) but the graphics look dated, and I couldn't get sound or my joystick working under Linux (but I only bothered fiddling around with it for about 15 minutes).

I would love to get Falcon 4.0 working on Linux.. according to TransGaming's database it has a rating of 2 (out of 5), but that rating might be based on an older version of WineX, not the newest 'Cadega' version.. So has anyone else got Falcon working on the new Cadega ?

gl-117 is a fun flight sim, music is kinda dull tho. But its gaurenteed to kill some hours a day if one liked the flight simulator genre. (I hate flight simulators, its not the real thing, but I have something towards this one)

ACM actually looks promising, but like everything else ever coded in the world ever, it won't build right for me.

I get these errors when I try to do "make" (./configure works without a hitch)
Code:
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: error: parse error before "__extension__"
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: error: `__len' undeclared here (not in a function)
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: error: initializer element is not constant
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: error: parse error before "if"
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: error: conflicting types for `__retval'
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: error: previous declaration of `__retval'
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: warning: data definition has no type or storage class
../V/lib/Vlib.h:320: error: parse error before '}' token

And I can do nothing.

Same thing happened to me.

Gives some malloc error just above the Vlib.h stuff.

When I try to compile I get the same error as you guys, but after looking above I notice Sites.c gives an error 1 aobut missing ndbm.h.

after running:
ln /usr/include/gdbm/ndbm.h /usr/include/ndbm.h

it helped, but I'm getting that malloc error, as well as:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lV

And the syntax errors..

ok, Progress: Opening up V/lib/Vlib.h and commenting out line 9 (the extern char *malloc) the lib directory compiles, and the dis/test directory compiles.

Commenting out line 320 in vlib.h finally did the trick.

isn't it a bit frustrating when you have to recode things that are supposed to be "stable" releases?

The source code for Mig Alley was released, and there was originally an effort to port it,... but it died from lack of participation...

Like a dufus, I picked up a copy just because I thought it WOULD be ported.

I use YsFlight extensively under LINUX (PcLinuxOs2007, PcLinuxOs2008 Minime, and PcLinuxOs2009.1) and I get good performance and fine support for my joysticks after configuring for the "OpenGL" options. Here's a detailed review with video clips:
