You are talking about the LFS life CD or did you already compiled your system and you are trying to boot it?

Hi,

@aahiqmir: Did you just copy and paste the png link that was used by another user in another thread?????? You have got to be kidding me......

Even if the problem looks the same, it is highly unlikely that the both of you have:
- exactly the same hardware,
- the same base system,
- made the same mistakes.

Besides that: Did you fix your coreutils and other problems already (you never answered my questions in the previous problem thread you created).

Probably the same user.

hda or sda?

My error earlier today was the opposite, but perhaps it will help the OP find the problem. I build LFS with the LFS LiveCD which saw /dev/hda as my hard drive, so I configured that into /boot/grub/menu.lst and /etc/fstab. When I booted I got the error that hda1 could not be found. I could get past that by editing the grub boot line (while booting) to sda instead of hda. I had to fix fstab to make it finish booting. Perhaps the opposite has occurred here?
