I want to install lfs on the following system:

2.8GHz pentium4
ati radeon 9800pro
abit IC7-G motherboard
creative audigy sz 2
80 gb sata + 80 gb pata + 250 gb pata western digital hard drives(installing LFS onto the sata drive)

I am up to section 6.11 glibc-2.3.4. When I execute the glibc test fix patch I get the following error:

Code:
../glibc-2.3.4-test_fix-1.patch: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token '('
//then it repeats printing the line in question
I'm not sure what to do.
