Step 4.4 of LFS 6.0: Setting up the Environment

Hi everyone!

I am a bit confused here. In the step 4.4 of LFS 6.0 book, "Setting up the Environment" it says to create .bash_profile and .bashrc files and fill them up with some "stuff". What i dont understand is, whose environment will they belong to? To the lfs user that is created and su'ed into? Or to the previous root ?

they are for the lfs user.

I believe the are to be created by the lfs user, so it would make sense that they would be for the lfs user.
