Starting LFS for an eee pc 1001px

Well, after installing many different linux distros on my little eee pc 1001px, I decided it would be best if I made one for my needs. That, and I have a lot of time to kill on my hands...

So my question is this:

Since it is a netbook, and I do not want to install another distro to this other than LFS, I need to find a LiveCD that can be installed on an 8GB flash drive (a little overkill, I know) that could install LFS 7.0 with little to no changes to the LiveCD. Any suggestions?

Hi you say you have linux distros installed already. If so you can use 1 of them as the host, I have just used Ubuntu 11.04 as the host. Is this an option?

I can use that, thank you! Did you have to do anything special other than install the requisite packages for the host system?

EDIT: I had a linux OS (ubuntu 11.10) on the hard drive, but I have since gotten rid of it because it bogged the computer down to the point where it was painful watching it load up. This was only magnified when I tested out Knoppix on my flash drive and saw how amazingly fast it was by comparison. It also doesn't help that I'm not a huge fan of Unity...

An opinion: i think that a better solution is to compile the LFS on a greater pc, than copy all the files on the netbook with a live
Atom is sooooo slow
