size of the partition....(no space left)

how much the size of the partition for build lfs?? i've tried 7 GB, but on gcc reinstallation (pass) on book 6.3, no space left....

7 Gig should be more than enough. Use the du command to see how big your various directories are. For example to check /home use this command:

du -s -h /home

Then this thread contains some estimates of how big the various directories should be:

Then you could see where you are having a space problem.
