shared libs

I have finished my LFS and am now installing the apps I want. I downloaded XFree4.2 and installed with no probs. I had to modify my .bash_profile files to reflect the path to the X programs. And edit ld.so.conf to add the path to /usr/X11R6/lib

Installed blackbox no probs
Installed netscape prob
After I got the path fixed I tried to start netscape and got a "could not open shared lib" error it was looking for libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2, so I figured that since i had libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 already i just created a simlink.
ln -s /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2

Anybody see a fault in doing this? Netscape now starts and seems to work fine.

That's fine the way you did it - it's the recommended way of doing it
