setlocale warning

Hi,

I am trying to enter chroot environment so that I can complete the LFS system build. But when I try to chroot i get the warning:

Code:
bash: warning: setlocale: LC_ALL cannot change locale en_US.UTF-8
what might be the reason behind this?

Check the variable LC_ALL. If it's set to en_US.UTF-8 that could be the problem. It should be set to null, "C", or "POSIX".

Yes it is set to en_US.UTF -8
How can i change it ?

I did run the following as stated in chapter four of the LFS book
Quote:
cat > ~/.bashrc << "EOF"
set +h
umask 022
LFS=/mnt/lfs
LC_ALL=POSIX
LFS_TGT=$(uname -m)-lfs-linux-gnu
PATH=/tools/bin:/bin:/usr/bin
export LFS LC_ALL LFS_TGT PATH
EOF
But seems like that has not made a change.
How can I change the variable ???

Not being a LFS user, I can't offer much help. I don't even know if what you've done is in $HOME or /etc, where I think it needs to go. I suggest you ask for this post to be moved to the LFS section of the forum, rather then the Newbie.
