Sanity check LFS 7.0 - do I need to re-add packages in GCC pass 2?

In LFS 7.0, in '5.5. GCC-4.6.1 - Pass 1', I needed to add in additional patches to the GCC source code. Following the instructions, I deleted the source code directory when I built it in pass 1, and extracted it again for pass 2. What is unclear is if the GMP, MPFR and MPC packages and other patches described in pass 1 need to be done again in pass 2.

Following the instructions explicitly I would assume no, not to re-do these. Just hoping for a confirmation.

Everything that is mentioned in a chapter must be done. Remember: After building a package you remove the source (and build) directory. The applied patch(es) and the GMP, MPFR and MPC packages are part of the source directory and thus removed when you are done with that chapter.

BTW: Only apply the patches mentioned (gcc-4.6.1-cross_compile-1.patch is for pass 1 and gcc-4.6.1-startfiles_fix-1.patch for pass 2).

Hope this clears things up a bit.

Yes it does, thank you. This is what I thought but (as earlier) didn't want to get all of the way through to find out I thought wrong.
