[SOLVED] Replace gtk+-2.24.10 with gtk+-3.2.4

Hi

I have installed gtk+-2.24.10 as I was building my BLFS now I have come up with a package that requires gtk 3.2.4 will the newer version over write the older 1 or will it install alongside so to speak, and is it to have both installed?

As you can see from other Linux OS, gtk3 uses file names different from gtk2.
I.e. both versions can easily be installed at the same time.

Example, gtk-3.2.3 :
/usr/lib/libgdk-3.so.0
/usr/lib/libgdk-3.so.0.200.3
/usr/lib/libgtk-3.so.0
/usr/lib/libgtk-3.so.0.200.3 , etc. etc. http://rpm.pbone.net/ >
