hello ,
I am building lfs from book 6.6 and in chapter 6.9
when i run this command
root :/sources/glibc-build# make -k check 2>&1 | tee glibc-check-log

then I got this error

make[1]: Target `check' not remade because of errors.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/sources/glibc-2.11.1'
make: *** [check] Error 2

so need your help as to what has to be done.

As stated in the book some failures are expected and the ones mentioned can be ignored. Errors that are not mentioned need to be investigated and possibly corrected before you continue.

You do not show the actual error(s) in your post, you only posted the message that says that errors did occur.

I do hope that you also executed the next command in the book to show the actual errors (grep Error glibc-check-log) and checked the output against what is mentioned in the book.

A few of the errors you posted are mentioned in the book and can be ignored.

The following need to be checked in the log file to see if they are time-out related (also mentioned in the book). If they are time-out related you can ignore them, if not then something went wrong in this or one of the previous chapters and that needs to be fixed first.
