problem in booting
 

hi guys ..... please help me as m a naive user of linux ..

wen m restarting the comp... it doesn't get booted n shows some grub sort of thing .. plz give me proper guidelines and tat too urgently....

Please specify what distro are you taking about. Did it install properly? If you have a live cd/try to see if you distro is able to boot in rescue mode so that you can reinstall grub. Alternatively you can downlod super grub cd and reinstall grub from there.

We'll need to know what distro (version) of Linux you are using, and details of how you installed and/or changed it. Also, give exact descriptions of what you see----"some grub sort of thing" could be almost anything.

AND---words like "urgent" typically make people here move more slowly.
