PolKit - Permission Errors In KDE

Im working on creating a new linux distro and i used ubuntu as the base (specifically ubuntu mini remix) with KDE as the DM. However when i boot into the system, KDE is unable to mount any additional partitions (internal or external) and i believe i narrowed it down to the lack of polkit and when i installed it, the lack of a configured polkit. I tried copying the polkit settings from Kubuntu and still no change (basically the error message was no permission to mount device). I plan on eventually doing this from scratch, however i dont want to run into this problem... Any suggestions?

Thanks In Advance,
Corey

Yes you are reading this correctly. Im not using LFS yet, however im sure that I will run into this issue when I start building it. I want to avoid the hassle later, so i would like to learn how to fix this issue now.

Thanks,
Corey

Until you are actually building lfs you would be better off posting this in the relevent section you might want to request a moderator to move this thread to ubuntu/kde.

I believe this to be a general linux question that is related to LFS, reason being is that i had to install polkit, which i will have to do for lfs. Either way, is there a way configure this properly or is there away around this without having to use polkit at all.

Thanks
Corey
