pipelight/wine

Has anyone gotten pipelight (the Linux version of Microsoft's Silverlight) to work on a Linux from Scratch system?

Using these GIT sources...

Code:
git clone https://github.com/compholio/wine-compholio-daily.git
git clone https://bitbucket.org/mmueller2012/pipelight.git
...the build of the xattr-enable wine (1.7.18) is without error and the pipelight/pluginloader is also fault-free. Both of these commands show no fault:

Code:
/usr/bin/pipelight-plugin --create-mozilla-plugins
/usr/bin/pipelight-plugin --enable silverlight
[...]
Plugin silverlight5.1 is now enabled
But at runtime, this error occurs:

Code:
/usr/share/pipelight/install-dependency: line 645: 21465 Terminated              ( local progress=1; while true; do
    local err=$($QDBUSPATH $dcopref org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.Set org.kde.kdialog.ProgressDialog value "$prog
/usr/share/pipelight/install-dependency: line 645: 21465 Terminated              ( local progress=1; while true; do
    local err=$($QDBUSPATH $dcopref org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties.Set org.kde.kdialog.ProgressDialog value "$prog
ress" 2>&1); if [ ! -z "$err" ]; then
        break;
    fi; sleep 1; (( progress++ )); if [ "$progress" -gt 10 ]; then
        progress=0;
    fi;
done ) < /dev/null
[install-dependency] ERROR: Installer for wine-silverlight5.1-installer did not run correctly or was aborted.

The problem has been solved by compiling with with GCC-4.8.2 rather than the recently-released GCC-4.9.0. Although both versions were built with the identical build script (and thus the same configuration flags), these links ultimately led to correctly identifying the issue:

https://plus.google.com/104228331066...ts/X6wSQ7GCnUk

Building the current wine-1.17.18 with that older compiler fixed the MSI botch and now the pipelight/wine combination allows Silverlight content to be seen, including Netflix. For anyone else interested, this guide from Gentoo provides a build guide that's suitable for an LFS system:
