perl make test error in setlogsock

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi everyone,

I'm trying to build lfs 6.4. When I run the perl test the following error-message appears:

ext/Sys/Syslog/t/syslog.....# Failed test 'setlogsock() should return true: '''
# at ../ext/Sys/Syslog/t/syslog.t line 204
FAILED at test 176

I'v tried it building a two times (the whole lfs from scratch) - first try with compiler optimization, second time without. I'm using scripts but I can't find any error in my scripts. (I've done a copy and paste from the book.)

Does anybody have any idea?

Thanks

ToK

Suggest : Make a test compile of perl on the host OS,
with the host compiler.

And configure with the option :
--prefix=/home/"username"/test-perl5

.....
Required information, when an LFS question is asked :
Book, Chapter, Host OS = Linux, name, version.
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/...skforhelp.html
Please read § 1.5.1

sorry, I've forgotten....

I've tried to build lfs6.4 from the boot-cd for 6.3r2145. The error is in chapter 6.26.

After all I found an answer here: http://refbuild.diy-linux.org/chroot2.html

Should lfs integrate this sed-line?

Greetings ToK
