Unhappy patch -Np1 -i ../perl-5.16.2-libc-1.patch

I have problem in this part

Code:
patch -Np1 -i ../perl-5.16.2-libc-1.patch

lfs@inay:/mnt/lfs/sources/perl-5.16.2$ patch -Np1 -i ../perl-5.16.2-libc-1.patch
File hints/linux.sh is read-only; trying to patch anyway
patching file hints/linux.sh

but I ignored it, and I continue to another line.

now I'm in this part --> Chapter 6 (Kbd-1.15.5)

so how to recover it??

is there bad effect when we built the LFS ????

Help please ,.,

Which problem did you encounter and why did you ignore it?

In general: You need to fix all the problems you encounter when building LFS. If you don't you will get into more problems later on.

If you follow the instructions to the letter then you shouldn't run into problems.

How to recover what? What seems to be the problem when building kbd?

The perl problem was encountered in chapter 5 and the kbd issue is from chapter 6 and perl (chapter 6, not 5) has already been installed. What are you doing?

BTW: You need to provide more info when posting: Which LFS version, which chapter, did you encounter any previous errors, is you host compliant.

EDIT: OP edited post while I was replying.

PS: The File hints/linux.sh is read-only; trying to patch anyway warning can be ignored (assuming that the hints/linux.sh was indeed patched). Have a look here: Perl-5.16.2: File hints/linux.sh is read-only; trying to patch anyway.

I mean, I ignored this sentences "trying to patch anyway".,.

Code:
lfs@inay:/mnt/lfs/sources/perl-5.16.2$ patch -Np1 -i ../perl-5.16.2-libc-1.patch
File hints/linux.sh is read-only; trying to patch anyway
patching file hints/linux.sh
I continue and I didn't fix it.
my friend said that I have to recover it first before continue to the next step

but now i'm in chapter 6 (Kbd-1.15.5)

can I fix that without comeback from the first step,.?
