openssh on BLFS

in the BLFS book concerning ssh it says:

OpenSSH depends on:
openssl-0.9.7
OpenSSH will utilize:
X11-ssh-askpass and Linux_PAM-0.77

---

now obviously i have to have openssl, which i do

when it says utilizes X11-ssh-askpass does that mean i have to have X11 installed to use openssh?

since this was just gonna be ssh,www server i wasnt going to bother with X. but then again you never know. id still like to get ssh running quicker than the rest so i can work on all the other stuff from away from home...

thanks

As long as you have the dependencies you should be fine. SSH works very well without X.
