My LFS System Vanished????

This is only the fifth time I have tried to get lfs up and running! This time I got as far as Ch 7 in one day Im getting faster If not better, everything went great and was up to configuring my network adapter in chapter 7 it was late so I quit and shutdown my comp. This morning when I boot up to my host sys (mandrake 8.2) my lfs system is gone!!! nothing, nada, zilch, the partion is there and its mounted but the only thing on it is mnt/lfs/Lost+Found whitch I diden't even opt to put the Lost+Found dir on when I built it. What Happened????

sounds like somethings mounted there now, but was it mounted when you had LFS in that folder?

Try unmounting it and see if it comes back.

DavidPhillips is probably correct. Or it could be the other way round: the lfs partition is not mounted

and about lost+found - it's created automatically when you format a partition with an ext2 filesystem.

The way I get around 'remounting' my LFS system is not shutting down. I figure I will be back on it less than 12 hours anyway, what's the point. PC's are pretty energy efficient when idle anyway...
