Modifying ubuntu 10.04 to be a host to lfs 6.7

Hi

I'm trying to use ubuntu 10.04 as a host to lfs 6.7. I know i need to downgrade some software, but how do i do it? I already have all the software for ubuntu downgrade, but how do i install it? Is there a order? Can i install this type of software as any other software?

Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm compiling lfs (development version book SVN-2010923) from ubuntu 10.10 and I don't need to downgrade anything.. The only things which you have to be careful is to create the filesystem with a recompiled version of e2fsprogs, to create the root account (because ubuntu haven't got one) and pay attention to gcc version.
I'm arrived at chapter 6.35 and I haven't got any problem right now...
Hope this help!
