messed up with LFS in ubuntu


Last night i messed up with ubuntu and i had to completely re install it. But i had created backup of all tar balls on other drive and also some other .run files. But now when i try to copy those to my computer directory the paste option doesnt show up! How am i supposed to install these stuff now! Pls help

If I read this correctly then you have a problem with Ubuntu and not with LFS. If that is the case than you posted in the wrong sub-forum, this would be more suitable in the Ubuntu forum.

About installing LFS: You could (should?) use the CLI (i.e. a terminal) instead of GUI-based programs. You can also use the mouse to copy-paste between terminals.

Sorry im pretty new at these things. Everyone hs a beginner time! I'll remember this for next time anyway the problem was fixed i had to mount the partition to /mnt
