Man pages build in 7.1
Is the configure command missing for the manpages build? Section 6.8.1 give the 'make install' command without a previous configure command.
A look at the extracted archive does not show a Makefile, how then does 'make install' run? Is /usr/share/man the correct prefix? Or I'm I missing something? Thanks. |

Hope this helps. |
I do apologize, I downloaded the archives using the wget-list but for some reason the man-pages archive did not download. I saw the man-db archive and thought that was the manpages archive. wget did not list any errors at the end of the downloads.
OK, so as soon as I finish running the gcc checks, I'll try that download again. Thanks. |
The download failed because the link in the wget-list file and on Section 3.2 of the book have moved. From http://linux-man-pages.blogspot.com/...-released.html it is now at:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/docs...es-3.35.tar.gz. Should this be included in the errata section? |
