Red face Login incorrect after porting

After I having cp all the nessisory files & libs to a hard disk,kernel boot successfully. But i can't login . I'm always being told "Login incorrect!" whenever I enter the user name!
I have copyed the /etc/shadow /etc/passwd & libs & pam modules


Thank for any help!

Hmm... Sounds like maybe you typed in the username or password incorrectly.

Can you login as root?

Is this an LFS system?
