List of famous/known OSes creating started with LFS
I was just curious whether there are any Linux distributions that are created starting with LFS. I would like to hear some famous or known Linux distros, regarding both desktop and server ones. I mean that have used just the books LFS, BLFS and maybe others.

I think there are none that I have ever heard about.
In a very real sense however, all distro's can trace their roots to all the tasks that LFS teaches. A disto differs from LFS in that distro's tend to offer advantages. Some of those include package management, target platform support that includes a broad array of drivers and software. Distro's tend to have a mandate or mission statement that tells the user what they can expect and what the typical use is for. |
