Linux-pam config file

Hi

I have to install linux-pam to proceed with gnome, I have never installed this before,
They give an example config file, and I see other packages that use pam also give there own config files for pam.
I think what i,m asking is, is the example pam config ok to use and to proceed with?

The one mentioned in the Linux-PAM-1.1.6 chapter can be used, but right after doing linux-pam you need to do shadoww, which sets all the initial /etc/pam.d/* files (among others a better other file).

Do mind the warning in the shadow chapter.....
