Link tests are not allowed after GCC_NO_EXECUTABLES (Libstdc++-6.2.0)

I have problem when i compile Libstdc++-6.2.0 ,
I've been convinced to follow correctly written in the book LFS. But there are still problems
Code:
checking whether the i686-lfs-linux-gnu-gcc linker (/mnt/lfs/tools/i686-lfs-linux-gnu/bin/ld) supports shared libraries... yes
checking whether -lc should be explicitly linked in... no
checking dynamic linker characteristics... configure: error: Link tests are not allowed after GCC_NO_EXECUTABLES.
Anybody can help me please ?

The message tells you your gcc cannot create executables, probably because it cannot find glibc, but there may be other reasons.

Sounds to be like the complete build environment isn't there. Last time I used Debian I had to install g++ myself, and create the symlink for it.

What chapter are you in and what is your host system?

To anyone reading this old thread: in my case this was
due to /usr/lib64/ versus /usr/lib/. I symlinked some
of glibc into /usr/lib but not all of it.

Personally I find the error message to be quite bogus
and not helpful, but if you run into a similar problem
have a look at object files such as crt* and such that
are part of glibc.
