LFS version check gcc version higher than recommended

I ran into a few errors on my last attempt at LFS 7.2 & am starting over everything in my version check is ok except gcc version is higher than recommended
Code:
Gcc-4.1.2 (Versions greater than 4.7.1 are not recommended as they have not been tested)
my version
Code:
gcc (Debian 4.7.2-4) 4.7.2
Has anyone built against 4.7.2?

I'm not sure if this counts or not since I bootstrapped my system a few months back using gcc-4.6.3. But since then, because I stay on the bleeding edge, deviating from the book, I've been using 4.7.2 to rebuild newer packages as they come along both for the core LFS and BLFS. The caveat is that I take the "your distro, your rules" literally once I get the base system going. In fact, I've been doing things on Linux "by scratch" long before there was a Linux from Scratch.
