Yes, it should work ok. Just note that it is still being tested.

hi there
i checked out that testing version of LFS
it has gcc version 3.4 with it while i have 3.3 in gcc in FC2

this also will give some problems i think.....

the other option u specified about passing the gcc version along with the configure command will be better i think
