Yeah, well a binary install takes minnutes. I've had a Linux system up and running in 10 mins before. I still needed to know stuff about my system though. I haven't had a hassel free installation since...

Red Hat 7.3 - Distribution of the year.

Of course the graphics suck, I believe it only works so well 'cause of the age of my pc and I don't use it any more. Have FC5 now. But the point is - the ideal distribution is one you don't have to think about and that excludes LFS.
