lfs chapter 6.12

Installing lfs 6.2 I got as far as chap. 6.12, when
the toolchain checks at the end of installing gcc-4.0.3 returned the same results as in 6.10 for the:

"grep -o '/usr/lib.*/crt[1in].* .*'"
##and##
"grep 'SEARCH.*/usr/lib' dummy.log |sed 's|; |\n|g'"

commands, instead of the new desired outputs shown in
6.12. All the other commands returned as in book.
Did I do something obviously wrong? Thanks for any
help or suggestions.

Mea culpa! Please be advised I retraced my steps and
found I had not created a necessary symlink, after creat-
ing which everything worked fine.
