LFS 6.4 network interface config for proxy support

Hi i've just finished LFS 6.4 and now i can boot it. I configured below network interfaces:
im running it inside virtual box, w/windows hosts,
so output from ipconfig /all in cmd.exe is supplied from below

/etc/sysconfig/network-devices/ifconfig.eth0/ipv4
ONBOOT=yes
SERVICE=ipv4-static
IP=10.19.XX.XX
GATEWAY=10.19.XX.XX
PREFIX=24
BROADCAST=10.0.XX.XX

/etc/resolv.conf
domain <mydomain.com>
search <mydomain.com>
nameserver <my dns server (172.16.XX.XX) >

/etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
10.19.xx.xx lfs64.xxxxx.com lfs64

and still cant connect to net using ping. I've already set http_proxy and ftp_proxy but no luck. Can someone help me with adjusting IPRoute2 to support proxy settings. Im using proxy to connect to internet. Or can anyone advice me how to auto-detect my network settings during boot-up?

Thanks
Ron
