Lightbulb lfs 4.1 problem +pl help

i was trying lfs 4.1 . Till chpater 5 everthing was fine . no error messages.
in chapter 6 , i succesfully chrooted to the lfs directory and got the prompt.
but from that point no commands are running . ls , cat nothing works .

how to remedify it and where can be the problem. path was same as that given in the book
please suggest ..

Same thing happened to me...the fileutils (I think) of the *utils packages I compiled not static cause of a typo in my script.

You can confirm this by getting out of chroot and doing a
file on the binaries in /static/bin

This should tell you if it was compiled static or not.
