KDE 3.5.6 doesn't start (problem with Kio

I got everything setup now (both Xorg 6.9 and KDE 3.5.6) but now I can't start up KDE

When just X was installed I could type startx and having X work so I think it's KDE with the problem.

Now when KDE is installed, I do `startx` and X starts up again. For about half a second I see the X background with the X cursor, then all blacks out and I get "boomed" back to TTY1.

I found one line in the output interesting:
Code:
Kio (K?????): ERROR: No database found
And then there's some output that seems to have that X first tries to shutdown the client and then finally kills it.

What's wrong?

EDIT: Recompiling KDE to /usr instead of /opt fixes it
