in Book 6.0, chapter 6, where do I build the sources?

ok, so where do I build the sources in Chpt. 6? I kept all the source directories from chpt. 5(the directories that got "tar xvjf"d). Should I delete them and re-untar them? or should I use the ones I have? or what? Thoughts?

You can keep those directories if you want, but if you do that, I would do a "make distclean" before using them again to make sure that it's just like you extracted them. Or you can delete them and re-extract. Whatever you want to do. Just make sure you keep the binutils source and binutils-build directories since you need them later in the state they're in now.
